The National College Bobble Association (NCBA) officially kicked off its inaugural slate of games, and the action did not disappoint. Two games in, and we’ve already seen statement wins, major transfers, and breakout performances that could shape the rest of the season.
Game 1: East Bay Seagulls (formerly Angels) vs. South Point Sharks
The first-ever NCBA matchup saw the East Bay Seagulls (then known as the Angels) face off against the South Point Sharks, and it was all Seagulls from the start. Behind strong offensive chemistry and consistent control of the field, the Seagulls cruised to a 10-4 victory, setting the tone for their season. However, the postgame shook things up across the league.
Shortly after the match, freshman Abu, along with teammates Mystic and Speedx, transferred to the Bobcats, completely changing the team’s depth and lineup dynamics. Meanwhile, Miko, another freshman standout from the Bobcats, transferred to the Seagulls, teaming up with Anim to form what could be one of the most powerful duos in the NCBA. It’s only week one, and the transfer portal’s already on fire.
Game 2: North Central City Hawks vs. East Side Tigers
The second matchup featured the North Central City Hawks, led by solo player Sage Man, taking on the East Side Tigers. Despite the Tigers’ solid defense early, Sage Man took full control as the game went on, displaying incredible offensive awareness and multiple kickoff goals that completely swung the momentum. When the clock ran out, the Hawks had secured an 8-4 win, thanks to Sage Man’s sheer dominance and relentless pressure on every possession. The performance instantly puts Sage Man in early talks for Player of the Week and cements the Hawks as a serious contender out of the gate.
Looking Ahead
With the Seagulls and Hawks both flying high after their opening wins, and the Bobcats shaking up their roster midweek, the NCBA season is already filled with storylines. Will Miko and Anim turn East Bay into a powerhouse duo? Can Sage Man keep up his solo dominance against stronger teams? And how will the Sharks and Tigers bounce back after tough openers? One thing’s for sure college bobble is officially underway, and it’s already electric.
